The owner has some good ideas about changing how the race is run. My problem with him is that he knew going into the race how they run it, so it"s his choice whether to run his horse or withdraw. I agree with him about only horses that have run the first 2 races should qualify for the Belmont.

Not sure if tripple crown was a possibilty but it is bs that it gets spoiled by someone that doesnt enter all the races

The "Crown" is special as it means winning 3 separate premier races of different lengths. If you just beat the same field every race not as much of an accomplishment and you would have 3-6 horses that could make al three fields. It would diminish each race. Specialty horses have a right to run the races the owner feels he has the best chance to win. To win all three is a real test and why it doesn't happen for years. Can't we leave this alone or do we have to modify everything for the media and whiners who fall short.
