Hi everyone been away from boats for a while and want to get the big 90 size rigger back together. Ive polished up most the aluminum. And fixed the right sponson where the turn fin wust have been ripped off.I refit the fiberglass cowl where the other owner had gobs of epoxy and old cabinet rollers to hold it in place. It was way off due to a few wrecks and replacing the hardware on it. I like to use rare earth magnets to hold down canopys on airplanes. But am wondering where I can get the big ones at that are about 10mm? Also Im leaving the paint scheme on this one it is orange with the tiger stripes. And will clean it up i nside and out. Question you can see the previous owner put the block in for the bolts for adjustment of the front sponsons rear tube. But I dont think he ever used it because the holes arn't elongated for adjustment shims. What are the benifits of making it adjustable or what does lifting the rear of the front sponsons due to ride of the hull. Also need 4 gromets 1/4 20x 1/2 in and think I know where to get the them. I have The ops 90 motor with dual plug head that is suposed to be modified pretty good. Also have the ops dual plug motor that im told is fully modded and will get to that one later. Might even put it in a wildthing hull scratch built. Thanks for any help new to riggers. Dave

By lifting the rear boom you tighten the boat up.

So it will make it run more wet. About how much ajustment should aloow for When I oblong the holes?

Oh I was wondering I didn't see no where on the site that they were.Do you use them to hold canopys on? If so what size ans how many would I need to hold down my canopy on my 90 size rigger. Thanks Dave

The 1st sentence of their home page says ".... to your best source for incredibly strong neodymium rare earth magnets." LOL

I have bought them for my Proboat and my .12 rigger, but I havent gotten around to running a cowl on my rigger (and it is the only boat I'm racing). I can't comment on the size/strength you'll need for your boat.... mine is a ton smaller. I did buy one of the 1/2" x 3/4" magnets (which the wife tossed across the room onto the frig and it cracked in half), and I can tell you I could hardly pull it off a metal surface - was easier to slide or pry the darn thing off. Incredibly strong. If you go much larger than that you wont be able to detach the cowl.... SERIOUSLY!

no wonder I never made it to the home page lol. I will probably get some the size of a dime. I can always add more. The front you slide under it has a plywood tab. Thanks again Dave

Here are a few more pics. Just need some cash to get a pipe, servos, reciever and a few odds and ends.

you can get very good neodimium magnests from www.hobbyking.com ...have used the square ones on my cat's cowl...they are very strong but take care because they brake easily under impact!
