Brett,

Bring your butt to Hotlanta this year.

It was a decent sized race last year,, my plans are 20-60 MONO, scale & sport-40

Thomas,

I can't speak to the intent of racers this season, but I can provide you with some historical data...

2008

D Hydro = 16

E Hydro = 22

F Hydro = 20

Twin Nitro Hydro = 15

2009

D Hydro = 15

E Hydro = 13

F Hydro = 14

Twin Nitro Hydro = 17

2010

D Hydro = 7

E Hydro = 12

F Hydro = 14

Twin Nitro Hydro = 17

Thanks,

Lamar

Both will be Great Events to Attend.... Atlanta will be More Different classes & the Competition will be Wide Spread. Huntsville You can Run your .91 Twin Hydro in F hydro, Twin hydro & Open Hydro...... If Your TWIN 101CID you can race Open Hydro & Twin......I plan to Do Both Races...

Lamar your data shows an alarming down trend. I see no Scale boats, Sport 40s, B Hydros and no Tunnel Hulls.

Jose,

Thomas was asking about nitro riggers so that is the only data I pulled.

However; I do agree... there has been a downward trend in Nitro attendance over the past few years.

Thanks,

Lamar

Not an alarming trend as much as there are just other races and other series to attend. I remember when Atlanta and Orlando were the races that you did not miss no matter what class you ran. The old Savannah club had basically a caravan that went to those two races every year. Between STORM and the WTC, that is where the outboards have gone. Now, 60 Scale is another story, used to be a LOT of them around these parts but no more.

I am going to both. I think there will be more nitro in Huntsville. Atlanta has become primarily a gas race. Doc
