Just shooting the last color on the cowl today, otherwise its done, will be out to the pond tomorrow testing and comparing it to my T2, I made some further mods to my T2 and am eager to see how that works. Video and updates tomorrow.

Brad,

I will be out later on this week testing my T-3

12-Hydro. I may even have someone video

some runs if I am lucky?

I have some new pipe designs to test and maybe

even a new propeller or two to test also.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

That would be great Mark as I would like to see photo's and how it runs! I have built theKep's T3. 4SL, and the 4S P open boat and am in the finishing stages on them.

Brad

Brad,

All I can tell you is the boat is WICKED FAST !!!

I tested some new pipes that were unreal on the new Mito-12.

Pulled plenty of propeller. Ran until I could not see very well.

I hated to leave the lake tonight. Need to change the steering

servo for more power though? A Hitec 225-MG is not enough

With 67 oz/in on 6.0 volts. Going to try more propellers next

time out. 1516-17-45% was VERY GOOD. The 1519-19-38%

should be UNREAL next time out.

Had Fun Testing Finally,

Hey Butch, got lucky with the Beta vs NR mount fit, I can swap one for the other, same mount holes and all. I have the Beta in it right now but will likely swap it out for the NR which is a real bullet. I too battled my NR for a long time until I found the sweet spot, now that I found it, it's quite predictable, I found that it took a bizarre length of time to break in and would rev, final key to getting it right was to restrict the water to practically nothing, let it really heat up and bang, it came too life.

Was just shuffling through the neon chips and the lime green jumped out at me, liked it and should help the visually impaired racers in D16, shouldn't have trouble seeing it on the water.

Rain and wind today but here is a picture.
Nice color I will see you next sept

Well Brad and Niklas, wow, I don't have my film crew with me tonight, when the rain stops, the wind blows, first night of relatively calm water in weeks. Adjusted a couple of simple things, hit the water like a bullet and just screamed. Ran absolutely perfect, zero flightiness, was able to leave it WOT, when I had a few waves to deal with I could see where backing off on the throttle might be necessary but tonight it was no big deal, through a touch of right into it and the TF quietly settles the boat down and simply power through the turn, it's race ready. If the weather cooperates and my wife will come to the pond with me, I will get a video for you all. Amazing improvement over my T2, no quirks. Ha, who needs a JAE, couple weeks, time to bust up the boys in Calgary!

Yes, when running solo on calm water its no biggie to be WOT but in race water it can become a bit "loose" into the corners (end of the straights). If it starts to "move around" on the front sponsons at the end of the straights, then its highly recommended to let off a short "blip" to cool it down before flooring it around the bends - if not - the turn fin can un-hook = DNF. The turn fin shape is quite important also and to keep it sharp of course and with the correct stated hook (in total around 45°). Don't mount the fin to far forward either (it can start to "dart" on the stratights and keep on turning out of the corners). Without fuel the CW would be just on the TE of the fin.
