Well, you might try going to the site of the NAMBA Nats, Sunset Park. There might be some model boaters running there.

They're kind of pricey, but the shows are pretty awesome.

As far as taking in spectacular views of the Las Vegas area:

1. Check out the brand-new state-of-the-art observation wheel, the "High Roller", located in The Link outdoor plaza, on the strip. Offers an exhilirating view from south Las Vegas perspective, just above the hotel skyline. Pretty neat futuristic glass-enclosed cabins. Very smooth ride. A little pricey but worth it:

2. Check out the Stratosphere Hotel/Casino Observation Deck, the tallest, and most spectacular view from the north Las Vegas strip perspective. Also, the "Top Of The World" restaurant (one level just below the Observation Deck), the large dining area rotates 360 degrees continuosly. And the food is excellent. I always have dinner at this restaurant every trip to Vegas:

3. And, yes, take in a show. The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Hotel/Casino is one of the best spots for "live" concert shows featuring major artists. If you can purchase tickets prior to travel:

If you can swing it go see the Cirque de Soliel "O" at the Bellagio. Never seen anything like and probably never will again. If you go, go early and check out the Dale Chihuly glass exhibit they have there.

At least take a walking tour of all the big casinos along the main strip, MGM Grand, Bellagios, New York New York (rooftop roller coaster), Caesars Palace, etc. the architecture is AMAZING and it's FREE! Enjoy your time with Wanda!
