I get up that way about once a month. My wife has family in Templeton, and I have family in Los Osos.

I want to move to Paso Robles. I checked a couple of years ago, and at that time there were no boaters.

I live in San Clemente, and the only thing keeping me here is my elderly parents. My dad is 90 and my mom is 88.

A few years back a hand full of people used to go up to paso to run at Franklin's pond. He would charge like $5.00 to run all day. It was all just for fun, dont know if they still go there or not

Thats still bout 5 hours away.I'm looking for something a little closer.

Fremont is where we race in district nine. Some years back...maybe 8 years back we ran in Kingsburg, about 25 miles south of Fresno. That pond was lost to homes, which were never built as far as I know. I put on races for nearly ten years in Seaside...right around the corner from Monterey. They thought we were made of money and the costs blew the roof off! we haven't run there for about 6 years. We also raced in Lodi but lost that lake for the same reason. We raced at the water slides in Manteca, but they closed the park and built homes. We are now down to two ponds, Fremont and lake minden, which is 30 miles NE of Sacramento...I know of no water south of Fremont. You should look for water and start a club... I know some of us would come down.
