Hey Gang,

Shane Oliver contacted me through our club website. His Uncle recently passed and Shane found this boat amongst his Uncle's possessions. He wants to know more about the boat and possibly sell it (if anyone is interested). I told him it pre-dates my involvement in the hobby by quite a few years! Any info. you can share would be great and if you are interested in acquiring the boat you can reach Shane at 770-369-2149.

Thanks,

Lamar

Looks like the engine is an Olsson & Rice .23. My Dad had one of those that I use to get out of a drawer in the garage and flip the prop on it over and over. I see this one has a glow plug..........earlier versions had a spark plug and ignition. Couldn't tell you about the boat.

Dang Lamar!!!

I think that hull pre-dates my Dad and Herb Stewart??? If it does not have a radio box then I would say it was a Tether-Boat in it's time.. I have a little motor that looks like that but has a spark plug but There is no identifying the builder trust me that puppy is OLD!!! I'm saying even maybe older than Norman!!! I'm curious is the hull wood or fiberglass?? Can't tell by the photos?? It doesn't look like any kind of Dumas Kit and they are the oldest kit builders I know of so it may be somebodies dream of what an Unlimited Hydro should be maybe back in the 40's-50's??

Later!!

Pat
