I bought a used boat with stripped out hex-head engine mount bolts.

What's the best way to get them out?

This is what I have done. Drill the heads of the screws with a drill a little bit bigger that the hex opening. The head will pop of when you get down to the screw shaft. Now you can take the engine off. You'll have the screw sticking up out of the mount. take your dremel and a small cutting wheel and cut a groove into the end of the screw. Use a flat head screw driver to turn it out. I've done this probably 10x. Usually on head bolts though.

Good luck..
