If we knew the area you lived in, maybe someone in your area could meet you at the pond to get an idea of what is going on around you. It would be much easier to run what the locals run so you can get help when needed. If you live in an area that runs Weed Eater, I mean GAS boats, I'm sure they would be glad to help you.

Hopefully, you live in the Richmond Va area so Don can help you. He needs a new project!

The boat looks a little rough...I doubt you will get much speed out of it. I would join a club in your area to get a good idea what a good running hull looks like, and handles like. Go to www.impba.net or www.namba.net to see if there are any clubs in your area.
