I worked on this design last winter.. just now getting some built up.

The one in the pics belongs to Jack Land,..

Yeah it's a JAE style boat,.. It has my favorite additions to that good design.. much like my AJM21

(cat's out of the bag Jack)

If anyone would like to build this you can buy the kit directly from AK models. I made the changes that I found were needed from the original boat and sent him a new file. (a while back)

anyway.. the only cost is the cost from them,..

Anthony... mine is done and will test today... what changes?... ie: my kit was built per first order?... anyway... the ski angle turned around 2.8..... and my fronts are starting high 4's.... we'll see.... thanks Mike

The changes where only for the things we spoke about. Like the short bulkheads and getting things to fit together better. Let me know how you do today.

Anthony... the 1 1/2 laps I made showed no quirks and this might be something.... I had an issue with the engine sucking air after it needled well on the bench the first time.... then.... the throttle servo dumped right on cue too... I'll eliminate minor issues and be back on it... launched very easily and rocket right now..... all i got.... build 'em up.... thanks Mike

Fantastic. Please keep us posted. There should be a few more of these on the water in a few weeks. Did you find an off the shelf cowl that will fit. Sorry you had motor issues

Anthony I modified the tub top front piece and used an Eagle cowl Johno Schultheis gave me..... it works and looks very nice... I also bought a cowl from Joe Warren( i think)... that would work just as well, designed for the 45 Jae.... neither are long enough, to the front to reach and cover the engine both, and you'll have to modify somewhere...I spliced in at the r box bulkhead, and had a radiused piece for the front from my other kit.... . maybe... a 67/80 eagle cowl?.. idk... Joe's will work, and are available... yeah... the engine... and... the accomodating Hitec one run servos.... a cursory pressure test of the tank, and the needle assembly, showed them good, and I'm at a loss, where the air leak could possibly be as it needled down per a rich maiden run, and exibited good traights on the table for the test... I'm workin' on it.... this point, I'm at either a different needle/base style, or a possible bearing issue with my engine, maybe.... a tongues and back-cut 1457 mid 4's to 5, to start, and you guy'sll want to work with the 1657 after that.... Sholund is turning out 1657's for the 45 ski boats that are working pretty seriously.... get er' dun', brother, and be prepared... rocket, even with my short excursion was an understatement... Mike

Yeah,,, that curvature on the top at the front of the tub,.. makes it hard to use a flat cowl.. I like the look though..

I'm very excited.. I bet you need bearings,.. as you just set up all the rest.. but heck,.. hard to guess..

Fantastic work on the mount. I gave a 1 in distance at 1inch. Also noted its for a AA45. I just checked and my engine has 3holes per side. One set .75 apart and the next hole at .932 from the best I can measure. I hope this will not be an issue. Those look fantastic.
