Has anyone run a AC lazer with a .45 motor? Thinking about putting together a 45 mono. The local lake is already full of seaducers
ohmy.gif
-and I'd like to run a cowl on the boat.

Thanks,

Glenn

Robert, I'll take a look on Lenny Blake's Website. Only one Cal Craft at the lake and it's a big-un CMB 101. No cowl on that one but it has the HP to run well with a couple Lbs. of water in it

I knew that it would work.

Thats right the boat in the background is yours.

Did the same thing to Lupe at the club lake with my 21 rigger. Next race he put his in the water.

I'm good like that!

Got a new turn fin "teardrop"

Thats what you will have when I am done with you.

See ya next weekend.

The boat can I don't know if I can.

I'll be focused this time don't worry or maybe you should!

Got some of Otto's hot fuel and Some OD9's and it LIKES it.

Going to use the AB5077/3 to slow it down so you can keep up. Don't need to show off any more.

Might even pull the pipe out a little and level the strut out.

David

David, I think you only need to post that pic one more time to get on Andy's LAST NERVE

I's gust a reminder of what's to come.

You should see him at the race after words. Will get a pick of that next weekend.

We got a little off track to the original post sorry Glenn But you can see what one cal craft can do to the seaducer drivers. Give one a try it is well worth the effort.

I have made a cowl for mine but have not needed it. Use a large hole where the strut tube comes out and the carb is under the nose of the boat for a good CG. Last race almost pushed some one out of the way with my boat got within 6" and lost sight of it in the roster tail for some time and gust keep going.

David, No worry about getting off track. I just threw the original question out there to get a few opinions. I do have an A.C. 40" mono with a 67 MAC and am pleased with it. I started looking into 45 hulls and noticed the A.C. is 40", the microburst is 40" and the Cal-Craft is 40". Same size hull for 45/67 power. Guess the only way I'll find out is to make another (or buy another) set of engine rails and try it!

Thanks,

Glenn

Check out the AC waveslave it is a 40 boat i had one nice handling boat. oh Andy and Dave behave this coming weekend see you all there

Thanks Robert, Just looked at the AC Waveslave on their website and noticed it is a bit shorter( 3") than the 40" Lazer. This might work pretty well here @4200 Ft. The 45 magnum at 37.75" X 11.5"sounds pretty good too. If anyone has any experience with the AC magnum-please share. One thing about N. Utah the wind blows more often than not.

Thanks,

Glenn

I ran the 45 magnum for alot of years.... Had an OS 46vxm in mine. Its a good hull but starts to get out of shape when you get some serious power in it. I don't know how it would handle the new engines of today.....It was on the edge even with the old 46vxm blue head OS.
