Has anyone set up and run either the Magnum .21 30'' x8.75'' beam or the Comp 30 30''x 7.5'' beam i am possibly considering one of these hulls for 18 cell mono with brushless motor. These fiberglass hulls are made by AC boats out of British Columbia Canada.

30inch mono with 18cells. humm
Its getting a bit small with today's power.
It can be done, but i am not familar with that boat.
Depending on the power, nue, lehner, mega, hacker, will depend on how fast and stable it is.
30ich would be fantastic for 12cells.

If the hull was competitive in 3.5 when 3.5's were running 1:30 times it should be ok - however these days with the speed it will run by the time you have it Lipo'd I would use a 33" hull - the speed then will be like the best nitro 3.5's so the best 3.5 designs will give good speed
Alternatively a No Step 4 looks the goods.
