Hi to all

I´ve been away from model activity for months(since april I guess) and slowly I intend to return to the circle.

Just received a H38 and started to work on it and figured out that is much softer than other ABC´s I´ve been modding.

Not to complaiin about it but seems that the berilium composition has changed in this direction.

As my other props it will be temped for strenght.Should the same temp procedure work with the new props as the old ones?

Happy to be back here.

I don't think the ABC props are Berilium. I'm pretty sure they are bronze.

I cannot speak definitely about the new prop composition, but I have the older ABC charts provided by Tidewater and they are listed as either SS (stainless) or BeCu and that is Beryillum Copper. The BeCu amount was quite small, only about 2-4% of the total amount.

The ABC props sold by Tidewater are not the same as the current ones.

Ok work was done with this H38 and wonder the % of BE in this prop is much lower than the old ones .

John you are correct about Tidewater chart.....and Joe I´m sure the bronze dominates the new composition props.

Cheers
