Boaters,

I hear the new ABC 1717 will be down at The Internats. I have a few coming

in tomorrow, but I am not sure I can have them ready in time. In pre-testing

it was 6 MPH faster than the 1716 on a Jaguar 21. I am really looking forward

to test them. I will have a few in stock soon. :)

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Hi Mark

I've been running a P747 on my .21 great.

Do you think the 1717 have similar results.

By the way I need some stock bag ABC from you .How could I get them.

p.s we are in Brazil

Regards

Gill

Mark,

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was hoping this would stay a secret until we (Dave Roach and I) had a chance to stomp some rump with them. Oh, well.........

About a month ago or so, Jim from ABC asked us what we wanted to see for 21 hydro. We had been running the 1716 since Spring and it was fast enough, but was VERY easy to turn. I had been playing with the 1718 and was very pleased with the performance, but it was a bit to much in the turns. We asked Jim for the 1717 and here we are. I think Dave has got a couple of them. We'll be getting to the pond with them this weekend, as we are not lucky enough to get to the Internats this year.

We are thinking it will be the prop of choice for 21 hydro. I am still going to be working with the 1718, but for now we'll settle for the 1717.

Thanks. Brad.

Gill,

Just shoot me an email with your want list and I will ship them to you.

I ship all over the world on a daily basis so Brazil is no problem Gill.

Email address is: [email protected] or send me a PM on this board.

Brad,

I know you and Dave and Jim were behind the 1717 what a great choice.

I have found a few modifications that work with the 1718,but that is a lot

of pitch to pull for good corner exit speeds. I think the other ABC propellers

work just fine also,I have a customer overseas that is going 74 MPH with a

H-4 so that is not too shabby either. I have to give Jim Schaefer a lot of

credit to come up with these new propeller designs.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

“In pre-testing it was 6 MPH faster than the 1716 on a Jaguar 21”

That is a very vague and ambiguous statement.

How fast was it with the 1716?

How are you making these speed measurements?

Hey Will,

It is in a Jaguar 21 with a Nova Rossi 21 with the 1716 it was clocked at 72 MPH

and with the 1717 it was clocked at 78 MPH. Both with a Stalker Pro Radar Gun.

And for some people that are having a hard time with a 1716 propeller,I think a

1715 is in the works also. You may want to try a 1714 for heat racing with a MAC

21.

Kently,

If I had a Nova Rossi 21 I would give the 1816 a try,I hear it is running all over

80 MPH. Can you share some speeds that you have achieved with it?

Boaters,

We are finding that for some setups,it is better to de-pitch the new ABC blades

a little bit. Just a little tip for those of you that are having difficulties with the new

blade configurations. Also, try the 1.4 pitch ratio propellers for heat racing, they

seem to be working well.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Mark,

I am taking my new boat out this weekend. Will let you know.

Gill,

Remember,I will be at The Internats most of this next week,so I will not be

on my computer for about a week. I will be Tennesee bound tomorrow. B)

Thanks,

NJ,

Sounds like a winner to me. They will be either $35.00 or $40.00 each RTR

and shipped to you in the USA. Not sure of my cost yet.

Thanks,
