7.5cc Rossi Outboard

This motor has been worked on by Rod Geraghty he fitted the motor with a 7.5cc K&B Red Carb and did some mods to the motor. It has been converted to an aftermarket standard glow plug head button. I have roughly $150.00 alone into extra parts and labor for conversion of this motor to make it race ready. Roughly ¾ of a gallon has been ran through the motor and it still has excellent compression.

Other than the head button and carb work, what kind of 'mods' did Rod do to the inside? Just his normal blue printing, or is there any grinding, timing adjustments?

Hi,

As much as I know is Rod said he raised the intake ports. If you are serious about wanting the motor I can take it apart and get pictures taken of the piston & cylinder.

If the timing has been changed on the sleeve, I dont want it. If the sleeve is stock, I will take it.

i can't speak for rod or this motor, james, but i know (from talking to him) that rod prefers to shim the sleeve, rather than grind ports.

Hey,

I spoke with Rod a he said that the intake ports were raised but no other internal changes. It was gathered that he didn't go to radical on the changes and said the motor should run good at sea level.
