Hey Guys,

I have a Dumas Hawk kit thats been laying around for years. I have never built a wood kit before and was wondering if this would be a good first rigger to build? Any thoughts or tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks- Mike

I built one a few years back, not a bad hull to get your feet wet on running riggers. Due to a glitch in a radio, I have all the hardware for it if you need some. You can e-mail or call David Preusse and get all kids of setup info as he has been racing them for years and his family designed the hull. Hope this helps,

Mike

Fore sure, build it........a properly built and properly set up hawk, can still run with the best of em.............For sure do get ahold of David or Gary Pruesse for setup tips and also use there CF turn fin spar with Davids turn fin. Go ahead and throw out the one that it comes with.

Gary's number is 630-279-2451 that is the number for G&M Models Garys hobby business. David is on here once in a while just put a post in the general section looking for David Preusse he'll get with you. He makes some killer boats and really knows his stuff.

Carbon fiber, I like the sound of that! How do I get in touch with David or Gary Pruesse?

David Preusse websight is www.cdrace1.com there is email and phone number there .
