guys, when i come out of the turns and get in the straits away, my left sponson would lift and then settle down , it would do it twice in the front strait aand the back , my sponson are offset by 3.8ths on the left , i was thinking of pulling the right sponson out to match the left sponson, what do yall think

What set up?

It makes a difference.

But 3 things I would work with are: more angle of attack on the right sponson. Strut depth and or strut angle. A prop with more lift could help to.

Jeff:

Easy fix....

Bring the rear of the turn fin up to put the bend line more paralell with the running attitude. The turn fin is what is lifting your sponson. Only happens when you turn left a little.

if ur still driving the boat and it turns ok why worry. i had a boat that did it all the time...its called horsepower.what kind of boat is it or is it a homemade?

actually , the boat is a scratchbuilt gas rigger, with a CC-RACING PRO MOD and turning a 3014 g-force prop, but the boat would still do it with any other prop i tried.

danny the boat would still lift the left sponson even when i raise or lower the strut

marty, i'll try that, but when i got home from the pond i ovaled my back boom hole so i can raise the back boom up, to give less aoa on sponsons, will this be the same as raiseing the back of T-F up.

bermudadude- could be horsepower and torque trying to pull the big prop,

eric- what do you think it is.

thanks everyone for the replies keep them coming.

Many gas single riggers are running 1 inch off set on the boom tubes. the turn fin sponson will always be closer to the tub...helps the boat tansfer weight so it can turn, on the turn fin side. p.s. your post TOPIC says 60/80 rigger then you say your running a gas engine in it?

yes that it from the dock, 6 1/2 on right side and 6 1/4 on T-F side inbetween, the tub is 3/4 high

joe , yeah i should have said gas rigger in stead of 60-80 rigger, i figured i would get a faster answer by saying 60-80 rigger sorry.
