46" 3D mono ( rough stuff)

I have had this hull for sometime now I am looking to modify it some. I need to know how much of the lifting strakes to remove measuring from the transom .

I will also be removing the old engine rails. THey need to be removed anyway since they are currently resting on the lift strakes on the inside of the hull. Somebody had moded the hull previously and removed alot of the freeboard.

Hey Terry, The 40 inch that I ran was plagued with an extreme case of chine walk with the lift strakes. Since the 40 was litteraly a cut down version of the 46" I am pretty sure the chine walk will be a problem with this boat also. I had converted tthe 40 to surface drive which prbably only added to the chine walk and the 46 will also be surface drive. The 40 had a few traits I really liked so I want to try this one and see if it is similar.

Can you post a pic of the bottom?

Did you mod the 40"?
