.45 mono how short is too short

how short is too short for a mono w/ a k&b 7.5 inboard , any help is greatly appriciated, Thanks Darren

I'd say 1/2 an inch is waaaaaayyyyyyyy too short!!

Too short would be under 10-1/4". Usually you want it around 10-3/4" from the plug to the weld or fat part of the pipe.

Mines at 10 inches but every motor can be set differently, what motor and pipe do you have??

I'd say 32 to 36 inch hull is good.

I would say 36 inches is plenty, any shorter your asking for handling problems.
