I ran my .45 JAE short kit ,yestertday. I did get in a few good laps. The wind was making the water very choppy. The .45 CMB gave us a little troble. The engine was new to me. The handling of the boat was right on. turned fine ran straight and true. Speed wise we ran slow. The hull show promish.Looks like I built a good rigger.

The purple head .45 CMB was used ;slightly Almost NIB the carb & was leaking gas out of the carb. Useing the 3 rd channel needle. We finally used a OS #9B needle. Then the carb barrel froze up ,gone one servo,.That;s how the day went. I got in a few laps. before the carb freeze. I have a second .45 purple head to swap over the carb. I spent a 1/2 hour the night before trying to get the NIB carb to loosen up. My backup engine will save the day. as it's used very used.

Neil I also have a purple head CMB 45 which had the same issue. Remove the carb barrel and clean it up with some 400 untill it moves freely and it will work fine. Good luck, Tim

We will test this weekend .I added slicone to the strut and rudder bolts ,No water inside the radio box. The hull has a AB .45 rigger prop to test out. My fuel tank should be here soon. Thanks Walter.
