Hi Guy's,

I getting a new 42" Mono Hull from Honkong looks like a big Speedmaster Hull. Anyway this will be set-up with a Mac 67, Surface Drive, with all Speedmaster hardwares. Need some help on where to set-up the CG on this boat for you Mono GURU'S out there? [email protected]

Thank you in advance,

Richard

he richard .. the most common mono setup C/g is about 28 % (from the transom ofcouse) .if u have a high power motor in ther u can move up to 30 % , i have my AC magnum 67 (for your engine) powered with a full mod 231 zenoah engine and c/g is at 31 % , stilll good speed , but a real oval racer ! :)

good luck !

Richard,

I saw that hull for sale on E-bay. How does it look in person? Quality? Finish? From the picson the Precision Model website it looks an awful lot like a Seaducer on the bottom.

Hi Speaker Boy, this boat is actually going to be a nitro boat. I have a Lazer 45 with a Venom 260 from Al. Very happy with this AC Boats. I'm a very big fan on AC boats too. I been running them since I started this hobby. Anyway thank you for your sudgestion.

Lamar, yes the bottom of the hull looks very similar with a Seaducer boat. The top of the hull is almost like a big Speedmaster Mono. I'm not sure about the quality yet. I just won the auction last night on Ebay. I will let you know when I get it.

Thank's,

Richard

Richard,

I have a new 42" Seaducer SD3. I am running a CMB Green Head .67 in it. The CG works out to around 31%-33% from the transom per Jerry Crowther's instructions. Jerry doesn't actually list a CG point, he just tells you EXACTLY where to bolt each individual item.

It looks like the hull you have coming is basically a Seaducer clone so I would venture to say you would be safe setting it up in a similar fashion.

Lamar

Hi Lamar,

How far do you have the engine mounted from the transom? Say from glow plug to the back of the transom. Men I love them ducer they run on rails when set-up to Gerry's specs.

Thanks,

Richard

Richard,

I'll measure it when I get home from work this afternoon.

I set the boat up per the provided instructions and within 30 minutes of of the boat hitting the water it was "race ready". The majority of the 30 minutes was spent dialing in the pipe. I have no complaints...

How much did you end up paying for that Hong Kong hull?

Lamar

Hi Lamar,

Thank's bud. I actually got it for $89 dollars but the shipping cost is $50. Total of $139 not bad I think. I hope it works out. He's actually have the same boat for sale now on Ebay. I din't want the Red one with splatter so he will send me a Yellow one instead.

Thanks,

Richard
