There was never a SD2 40 Seaducer sold to the public.
The only seaducer 40 available until now was the Seaducer SD1 subsurface 40 mono. Which is still a very competitive boat.
The main difference between the 20 & 60/90 SD2 and SD3 models is that the SD3 comes standard with Carbon Fiber. The SD2 models came standard with Kevlar. Other differences in the boat I am not totally sure of and would not want to speculate.
All seaducer boats are still available in Kevlar for an additional charge per hull. The new standard material used in all boats is Carbon Fiber.
My new 40 SD3 is in transit and I can hardly wait to get it built and on the water.
I want to clear a few things up SD does not stand for Seaducer Boats. It stands for Surface Drive Technology. As I am continuously testing with the boats and learning what makes a boat work. I then include this in the a new bottom design. So their was no SD1 boat. Their has only a SD2 and SD3 Hull type.
The main difference in the SD2 and the SD3 hull is the rear part of the boat. Also the strakes have been moved in .015 of a inch to allow better corner speed.
The new 40 boat has all this built in to the bottom this is why I have over 2 years of testing in to this hull .
