From hearing other people talk about this it sounds like a crap shoot but, does anyone happen to have a setup sheet for a .40 Microburst? I just bought one second hand and after seeing some of the questionable craftsmanship, I am also questioning the setup. A template for the turn fin would be helpful as well. When I bought my .20 Burst new it came with one so I'm hoping the .40s did too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Was that the red one on E-Bay? We have two Club Members that run the M-B hulls(40"). Both are race winners- I can ask them for setup tips/ fin template/pics or dimentions- both run Mac motors.

Yes it is the one that was on ebay. I've heard quite a few people say it is hard to get in touch with Showers so I just figured I would give this a shot first.

Strut looked a bit odd on that one. I'll give Johnny a call and have him trace the turn fin for you. His Microburst handeles like it;s on rails-only been upside down twice-Once when I tossed it in that way- the other time there were foot and a half whitecaps on the lake.

Glenn, the strut looks like the correct speedmaster strut but he cut the front off for a square drive setup. The strut will be changed and I'm not 100% on this but I'm pretty sure he cut the rudder too short as well. I really appreciate the info. Another question would be engine placement from the inside of the transom to the center of the glow plug.

Daniel, I'll get back to you when I get some dimentions from Johnny this weekend.

O. K. Daniel- Outside of transom to center of glo plug 14 1/2"

Center of prop to bottom of rudder 2 1/2"

Turn fin 1 7/16" wide by 3 1/2" long (with a 1" long slot to adjust up-down) Johnny is going to e-mail some pics of the fin on and off the boat and I will forward them to you.
