3rd channel needle placement

What is the maxium distance that you can put the remote needle valve from the carb? <_<

What is the maxium distance that you can put the remote needle valve from the carb? <_<

I've run as much as 8 inches of line between the carb & 3rd channel needles with no issues. Granted the closer the better but sometimes that just isn't feasable. The biggest issue is the further away the longer the delay is in seeing a mixture adjustment change.
