I have a 38 in Youngblood mono with the built in trim tabs and the pad on the bottom. It has a mildly modded CMB65 Silver head driving a surface drive X465. It has a kind of small turn fin(doesn't extend past the bottom of the keel) mounted 90% to the surface. If I go over half throttle in a turn it looks like the rear end is trying to pass up the front end. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I don't have much experience with monos. Thanks a bunch!!

I have 1 ,it had a OPS 67 in it and it would rock so bad in the turn's,and scrub off so much speed thourgh the turn's every one would pass me ,but it took 2/3rd's of the back strait to get back to full speed, and I would start to catch them ,"but" here comes the turn and it would start rocking again and scrubb off speed again.

Now I run a .45 in it and it handles great in the turn's and runs faster,I love it .I'll never put the .67 back in again,But I seen some guy's make it run with a .67, I copyed there set up but with no good results, finally I just got tired of trying to get it to handle.and put a K&B .45 in it.

when that happened with my twincraft the turn fin needed to be deeper in the water

Steve's answer is the one I would work with!

I agree. Makes sense to me. I tried running a K&B 45 in it at first but guess what happened? I give you a clue. After that first day, I named the boat "Bam Bam". GET IT?

Ka--Boom :( :(

Ladies and gentlemen....we have a winner!! It blowed up real good. Wasn't from hopping in the turn. Didn't get to the turn but it was hauling.
