The Emerald RC Boat Club celebrated 25 years of RC boating with its annual regatta. Not only were some old time members present, but there were new faces as well. The first Emerald Cup featured nitro outboard tunnels and sport 40s. There were no nitro classes run this year. The big class was 1/12 sport scale hydro, an evolution of the UL-1 class. The next classes in size were gas monos and sport hydros. I believe gas and electric classes are the future. It certainly is the case in our remote club. Below are some pictures.
