I got to thinking while i am waiting for new bearings for my NR 5 port that pehaps a stronger engine may be my Green head valvola or my NIB red head Valvola I think it is the RS7 maybe.I bought it last winter and it has been sittting in my basement in the box for over a year...

I have headers and pipes and all i need to make it work in my JAE 21.

Would it be faster and have the goods over my 5 port NR which i like also...

What setup are you running with your 5 port that you feel you are lacking in performance? The Valvolas can be screamers in certain hulls, but they won't pull as much prop in a outrigger hydro as a Nova.

lol its fast enough for me lol but i have a Orlic Balistic engine i can put if i want lol..

Guys,

All the current motors on the market are pretty good.

What sets them apart I believe is the set up that they

sit in, and the pipe and carb selections. My engines

can all pull quite a bit of propeller, but I have found

out that you really need to concentrate on just a few

propellers to really get it dialed in. I have Novas & CMB's

and I wouldn't say one mfg. was any better than the other.

Just keep playing with your set up and propeller profiles

and you will keep moving forward with your own set up.

Have Fun,

Mark Sholund
