June 12th through the 19th

Guys,

I would like to announce that the 2010 NAMBA Nationals will be presented by the VooDoo Model Boaters. This race will be over a week long of some of the best racing in the country and will include Nitro and Gas Boats. This will be one of the most fun filled races you will ever attend. We feel that with the location of this race we have the opportunity to bring racers together that have never had the opportunity to meet or race each other before. The opportunity to have the Nitro and Gas guys, East, West, North and South racing for National Championship status at the same race on the same days is something that the country has never seen before. With live on line coverage of the complete race from MeTime productions http://www.metimeliverc.com/ I think this will be one of those races that will be talked about and watched for a really long time.

We will have lunch cooked on premises everyday from the now infamous Fat Boys Catering with everything from fried seafood (Oysters, Shrimp and Catfish) to hamburgers, Cajun Boudin, HotDogs, Nachos and French Fries. We will have multiple raffles during the race with prizes that include engines, boat's, boat parts, electronics and even tools.

Unsupervised Open Water - Wednesday 9th and Thursday the 10th

Supervised Open Water- Friday 11th

Racing starts- Saturday June 12th Drivers Meeting 7:30am Racing Starts at 8am

Racing Ends- Saturday June 19th

If you have ever been to one of our Shootout races or the Gas Nationals you know that this race will be nothing but a good time for everyone involved. We will have one of our famous Seafood Boils on Wednesday night June 16th and Jambalaya on Friday the 18th along with the Rock and Soul band playing some really good music that afternoon. We will also have some very nice NAMBA National T-shirts for sale when the race gets closer.

We will have a lot more information coming soon like the NAMBA Nationals official website and host hotel as well as class and Race sponsors. There are a bunch of Hotels within 15 minutes of the pond and plenty of restaurants with some of the best food in the world to feed any appetite. If you want to visit New Orleans and the French Quarter it is about a 35 minute drive from the pond on Interstate 10. Come and enjoy some real Southern Hospitality at it's finest.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Carlo a couple of questions for a NAMBA newb. Can I run my LS27 boats in the GX classes or are they restricted to G1? Is the G-1 sport class the same as LS27 sport hydro ? Is the stock mono class the same as our ss class Thanks Tony J

Tony,

LS27 boats are the same as G1 boats and XLS boats are the same as GX boats so your LS27 Sport Hydro would be a legal G1 Sport Hydro. You are also allowed to race any legal G1 boat in the GX classes giving you twice the options if you choose. The Stock Mono class is the same as Super Sport rules as they are now with only Zenoah engines allowed. Guys can basically take the engines out of there Thunderboats put a canister style muffler on them put the engine in there G1 mono hull and they will be legal for Stock Mono.

Sounds good I cant read the dates and some of the classes on the .doc? is there another format you can email out.

Phil,

That format is in Microsoft Word let me know what format will help you out and I will see what I can do.

Phil,

That would be great man. Once the website is up I will start a list of raffle prizes and who has donated them, a list of class sponsors and other things.

Thanks for your help man.

In nitro outboard tunnels you have A and B listed. Are we to assume this is "mod" and are you not running A OPC tunnel and B OPC tunnel? These classes have run at Namba Nationals for years. Any reason OPC (stockers) are being cut out of the program. Not too often Florida racers will get a Nationals this close.

Are you running 4 or 5 heats?

Is this going to be a surveyed course. Will six lap records be availiable to be set?

And are RV's, camping self cantained units welcome at this site?

Unless Mic already knows this, he'll need this answer also

Mic,

The course is a 6 lap legal NAMBA course and yes you will be able to set NAMBA records on it.

You will also be able to bring your RV or trailer and camp there. On the Entry form it asks you if you have a trailer and what size it is.

As for A Tunnel and B Tunnel you can race your stock or mod motor in either class, We did this because the consensus was we didn't know if we would get enough OPC Tunnels to enter and make the classes.

If I find out in the next 30 days that enough people want to run A OPC and B OPC we can then add it to the race schedule.

Thanks, Mark

Mark,

Thanks for the reply. I will address this in the Outboard forum where you also started a thread.
