Going to be up front. Just lazy and don't want to even try to figure out how to mount a tank under the deck of my speedmaster mono.

If anyone would like give me some input that would be awesome. Whats it looks like? what did you use? size of tank. Been in this hobby for 23 years and this is what it has come to. lol

speedmaster makes a tray/tank mount, jeff. that, & some cup screws & rubber bands & an 8 oz. tank - done ;) . looks kinda like a fiberglass radio box, but only about 1/4" deep, sized to fit a sullivan ss-8 tank. mark hopper at htb boats should have what you need, he is making the speedmaster now.

Get the tray as Robin suggested and what I did is remove some of the bottom of the tray to lighten it up a little and stop anything from collecting in it.

I also cut four T shapes around the rim of the tray and use them to hold the rubber bands.

Thanks guys

Do you know what Mark Hopper goes by on here?

I just use pipe insulation split in half along the top and bottom sides held in place with rubber bands. Nice snug fit that doesn't move around, elevates the tank slightly, and provides a bit of vibration isolation.

Thanks guy Mark has a tray but the problem being its $15 for the tray and $12.95 for the shipping which doesn't sit well with me. So anyone that can ship one cheaper i'm all ears.

Don't use the pipe insulation method I mentioned, it works really well and only costs a couple of bucks for enough to do the tank, and provide the flotation for several boats.

you could always make one. thin ply & 1/4" square stock around the outside to hold the tank & provide a place for cupscrews to secure with rubber bands. make it to fit the tank & epoxy it in place.

When I ran my Speedmaster 21 mono I tested with a front mount tank and wound up getting info from John Finch to try saddle tanks one on each side at the CG. Really helped the boat stay level during race. JMO.
