What would be the problem with puting one of those "flip-top" gas tanks in a .12 rigger. The ones that come on the .12 cars? They have baffles in them and a pressureized cap with a nipple for exhaust pressure.

Am I missing something?

I did this on my first .12 mono. I was trying to build it cheap at the time and had an RC10-GT fuel tank laying around and used it. The builder had placed the motor mount too far forward so I put the tank in between the radio box and engine. On a 'rigger it might look kinda butt ugly unless it is enclosed. See if you can put in a Sullivan 4 oz. tank, they aren't that expensive.

Ron, cost is not the whole issue. I like the ease of using the flip top. I don't need a fuel pump, just one of those bottles with a squirt tube. Wouldn't his be better than a plain sulivan tank? Or is this just a boat culture thing with the type tanks we use?

I also used an RC10GT tank on my Nitro Trident Rigger project.

I had a cowl so the tank was completely covered after pit stops.

It worked fine, but I wish it were a little bigger. 75cc sure goes by quick when your running mostly WOT.

I would think that 4oz would be as small as I would go with a .12 fuel tank.
