Are you guys having good sucess with the stock rudder and TF from turn fin.My boat will hop sideways on the exit of a turn if you hit a wake or just get really loose on the front , dance from side to side and blow off and i was wondering if i would benifit from a deeper Turn fin and or rudder.

Other than that I have all my new boat issues worked out on this one. This is my first baby rigger and perhaps i may be expecting too much but the water was like glass until i come back around and hit the wake from my previous run and the pond is small so i get back around quickly and my truns are sharp compared to a race course.

I am running the stock 1440 and it will pull it and launch easily.I have not tried to go in on the pipe or squeeze the needle yet .the engine is new so my condition with blow offs will only increase as my performance does.

Any setup tips or help would be Greatly appreciated.

Is the turn fin maybe lifting it's sponson out of the water might need to go up in the back. Did you sand the overhang off under the fin "should be done"? You need to or plate"shim" the fin off if you didn't. Probably need to back cut the prop to about 3/32" to l/8" less at center hub blended to tip.

Thanks mark,I have the overhang removed and yesterday it did not seem as bad when i went to a larger pond wher i could make turns with a larger radius.I also tried a rudder that was deeper and that helped but honestly i did not get much run time on this boat yesterday.

I will try it again some night this week .

As far as the prop being back cut is that something that is easy to do ?

My engine was turning it no problem but are you thinking that part of the prop will affect the way the boat reacts ?

I don't think it's the props the problem 'unless your having to hold a bunch of left rudder to track straight" ,back cut is pretty easy. RC boater.com has a lot of info ,shows cutting and bending props. It lets the motor spool up more , you want to let the little motors rev not grunt so much. Maybe do full edit your title to add some more info on problem add help , will get more experienced boaters involved. We only had a couple of hours on my friends .12 but it was AOKAY got faster and faster as motor broke in . Was using grimracer fin. Try tipping turn fin up in back see if it helps. The zig zagging has me confused never seen a rigger doing that.

Terry,

I think you have a rudder servo problem.

The propeller needs to be reduced and backcut and cupped up

a little more for better handling and performance.

Keep Testing,
