The Brandon spring race was in March of 08. I thought they were having it again in March 09 just like Joe did. Has the D3 tentative schedule been made out yet?

At the Distict 3 meeting two weekends ago it was decided by vote to limit the 2009 race schedule essentially to one race per club. This was done to relieve the financial burden to attend district races that many members are apparently feeling. Total D3 high points races for 2009 will be 8, with 5 counting towards cumulative high points. Last year there were 12, with 7 counting.

Currently our District Director has just informed us that he is not happy with this and is attempting to nulify by holding another meeting and bringing this to another vote. Stand By...

At any rate, Brandon's race dates are in October as in Mike Hayne's post. Maybe you could plan on Space Coast March Race (Palm Bay) on the 21st and 22nd.

True enough as it is one week after the Charleston race. Ouch! Would hope a slide of a week or two could be done. The Charleston area race has been on the Columbus Day holiday weekend since the early 1990's. It would be bad to have either race impacted.

We weren't given much choice. It was either us or Tampa, so I took one for the team. Sliding would squeeze the November race, so I don't think that will be allowed. Can ask, though.

Wanted March, asked for March, was told March had to be Space Coast. It was downhill from there.

I would like to clarify that the Tampa club has been working to secure another race site and it is not a forgone conclusion that this race will be at Dover Park...a lot can happen in 7 months.

Well I had plan to come down in March to do some racing??? Let me know if something changes for March racing
