yes sir. more negative also helps on launch and will plant the front end in the corners. just watch you get to much you will have prop chatter both coming out of the corner and in the s.a.w. ( also helps pull bigger props ) my boat like more strut angle and less front sponson downforce.

I remember racing that style boat. had to run alot of strut angle 1.5 degree's negative and keep the front end light. boat does not like alot of front sponson down force.

nova had 3 port 5 port 7 port 9 port port here port there ext.. the WHOLE SUCCESS in that motor was the piston material and liner fitment. period we ran nova for MANY MANY years won multiple us-1 s about every other race you could win. the key to them was piston to sleeve fit and material...

toward the end of my racing i ran turbo plugs. one reason was more conistant seating of the plug. you can over tighten either or but with a standard washer type it is easier. 2. and for me more important. in case of a 45 seconds till the start ect ect if my plug was bad i don't have to search...
