Bill, You don't tech? So you really don't know if your rules actually work. You've never checked to see if they were being followed in your own club. I would say your multi year experience with the success of your rule set is invalid

Very few people have setups capable of maxing out a batteries potential. I don't think anyone in the US has pushed cells as hard as I have, Tyler Garard being the possible/probable exception. 70C is a reality with the better quality cells. That being said there are lots of cells on the market...

Bill, Another point, you guys have a successful scale club. Yes you guys have 40+ boat scale races. That number is spread over gas, nitro and FE. The first race of the season shows 15 FE boats entered, the second race had 11. Far from overwhelming numbers.

The current IMPBA rules allow S and T power, so 7-10 cells. 10S is likely an artifact of the conversion from round cells to LiPo. It's the power level boats were historically built to.

Mark, These guys are running IMPBA rules. Not NAMBA or RCU club rules. They have a different rule set with a longer history.

Tyler added the rod when he started pushing the speeds up. I'm working on the next evolution of that boat biased to TT's.
