Nice build! A few things I would try to elminate thinks: If you have 26 cc engine put that in and see what rpm and speed you get. If it is about the same you know it is not the engine, but something hull-prop-rudder-trimtab related. If suddenly you go much faster you know it is the engine...

You can also replace the needles with those from a 644. These are short by themselves already (did that on my slingshot to get the SG fitted). But cutting will do the trick as well....

Can't you just buy some thinwalled K&S tubing to replace the heavy kit supplied exhaust? That would save you some weight, though I think the complete exhaust as it is now not to weigh more than 3 ounces. It might just look (feel) heavy compared to the plastic part...

Any NiCad can do 10 C.. It is with the LifePo and LiPo that the C comes into play.

The Quickdraw looks like one of the initial ones with th elarge sparkplug.. Carb looks like a 257, but can't tell for 100% sure. The number is stamped on it under where you mount the lever, next to the blackfuel inlet nipple. If it is WT257: 1 on high 2 on L if it is WT1048 about 1.5 each can...

Interesting bottom of sponson / ride surface

Just take them apart ( which I think you have to do anyhow to inspect them and ensure all is still ok) and measure the diameter of the crank if 12 mm, or slightly under half inch it is 12 mm, if 13 mm,, or slightly over half inch it is 13 mm ( or the inside of the bearings...)

As long as you drive insanely fast nobody will notice... They will only hear engines humming in sync..

If you leave alu too long in it they discolor. I put them in max 15 minutes at moderate temp (hand temperature) and rinse well after.. There was a topic on sonic cleaners about 3 months ago., you might want to reference that also..

That is always the most challenging: glueing compound surfaces. But the reward wil be there once done with these 2 parts. So far it looks good ! (as always I tend to say).

Throw-away piping bags also work great: just cut a small piece of the tip..

To me looks like something for a jet drive... Stringers look like complete logs.....That will save you a few pounds removing..
