I tapped mine out to 10-32 and it distorted the inside of the water jacket where it meets the head button. Just thought I should share this. I think there might not have been enough material between the jacket and the head button. Olly

Sam It's 6 inches from front to rear of collet. Thats with an Octura collet. Hope that helps. Happy New Year Olly
