Charles, It does not change the rake angle what I do to the leading edge though. You are right it opens up the blade more. For more performance you can increase the center of blade pitch as well and it does change the blade progression of the face of the propeller. Lots of tricks in the bag 💼...

Boaters, The answer is: you cannot increase rake angle from 10* to 15* without cutting off the blades and Reattaching them at the new rake angle. Some believe back-cutting the trailing edge increases the rake angle of the propeller, it does not. It can reduce lift and blade area ratio...

Mike, You should try the ABC 1915/3-23*/50% instead. Trudy with Octura has almost no three blades in stock right now. The X-447/3 hasn’t been available in years. Their pricing has just about doubled in the last year, an X-470 raw in the bag is over $50.00 now. There quality has slipped recently...
