Do not use a synthetic for break in, it will take forever to seat the ring properly. You absolutely cannot go wrong with Quicksilver. :cool:

So here we are at the end of another year already. The last couple Christmas giveaways have been a big time disappointment from how it used to be. Yup, actually working on it now and I agree it has seriously fallen flat. Hopefully this year will be different, if things don't get back to how it was it's not worth doing anymore.

The Devcon is awesome but you need to have everything ready to go because it sets fast. I typically pre-fit and stage everything, put on a new mixing tip and roll. When you're done leave the mixing tip on it and retract the gun plunger, keeps it sealed until next use then just put a new tip on...

I remember when Bob built that boat and had numerous conversations about it with Jim. Sure miss hearing Jim's voice when he would call for one of our many chats. Every conversation started the same- phone would ring, I'd answer it and hear "have I reached the man cave?" on the other end.

Yup. And I cannot tell you how many ill handing boats I helped straighten out over the years by reducing end point adjustment (EPA). I have never seen a boat with proper linkage set up that needed anything even remotely close to 100% EPA. Also use the pushrod position closest to the servo output...
