I think the shipping to Australia might kill a deal but how much would you want for 1 new Thunder Tiger outboard with Instructions ?

    Messing about with boats

Thanks Frank and Rod I asked the guy who built the mono why he made it so big when he was apparently selling it to me because it was too large for his new apartment. Turns out he built the boat while he was living at Airlie Beach in Far North Queensland and decided to scale it up because the bay...

    Messing about with boats

Hello All - I joined the Intlwaters.com Forum primarily to get some info on a tunnel hull with 3.5 cc outboard. One of the guys, who was kind enough to gently steer me in the right direction, has asked me about my other boats so I thought I should properly introduce myself. I do not race, I do...

Sorry Rod and Frank - I am not usually a glutton for punishment but I want to test my understanding of what the two of you have been trying to teach me. In my own words if I was to stand above my boat looking down and rotate the TT engine cone CCW a person under the boat looking from front to...

You are right Rod - I looked at my own video and realised that the prop must go ccw to go forward. Still leaves me with the question that if the cone is turned one way, and there are gears involved, why does the prop turn the same way as the cone ? I shot an 83 on the golf course this morning...

Hi Rod - a couple of videos of me turning the cone clockwise and the propeller turning clockwise are attached. You might notice my other boats in the background which I am thinking I should stick with !

Thanks John - now when I break a part I'll know the number of the part I probably can't get ! lol

Without grinding anyone's gears - when I look at the cutaway photo it appears to me that if the lower gear rotates clockwise then the gear next to it driving the flex shaft must rotate clockwise. If we say the the gears meet at 12 on their respective clock faces and you turn the cone to 3...

    Mail interruptions announced

Hi Lawless Man - I live in Australia and a little while ago Australia Post announced a pause on collecting parcels from domestic business customers as well. The reason they gave was a huge backlog of parcels due to surge in domestic online sales during continuing lockdowns of our two most...

If Geraghty has a engine manual with his two new Thunder Tigers it is probably worth more than both the engines because the manual is so rare !! On my original question of the need for a clockwise starter - I figure that the engine, like most brands of rc outboards, runs clockwise - the gear...

Thanks Robert - I read in a post somewhere that the hole up and forward of the fitting the fuel tank pressure line is connected to is the one to use to oil/grease the gears. Is this the plug you are referring to ? Cheers mate

From the images I have seen online I understand it does have a helical gear drive between the engine and the flex shaft.

Thanks Rod - I am still a little confused because when I rotate the cone clockwise and stand at the back of the boat looking forward my prop is definitely rotating clockwise.

Hi guys - I am new to this forum and very new to rc outboards. I have been messing around with a couple of large rc boats with 26cc petrol inboard engines for the past 18 months but Icould not resist buying an aquacraft vs1 tunnel hull fitted with what I thought (from the photos) was an os .21...
