David,
The larger bowl is for the lower nitro. Higher nitro requires less bowl volume/more compression. .22-.24 better for high nitro in your .28. What volume did you settle on for your new button? Let us know how it goes. Thanks.
Great post Chris Wood. Yes, our hobby has a lot of competition these days for sure. The VOODOO guys are a great group of boaters and if they are having a hard time gathering enough to hold the national race this year, that tells you there is a huge decline of nitro in their neck of the woods as...
Gary,
That will work great. Get the temps at the plug around 160-180 degrees and that will work. Keep rich and run until the squeaky pinch is gone when the engine is cold and you will be ready for rich runs at the pond.
Rod,
I feel a lot like you. I loved the second part of your initial post about this new 28 idea, but the first part of your post ruined it.
“How many of you are tired of paying $450.00 for a Novarossi 3.5 powerhead or $550.00 for a O.S. to race nitro outboards..... Outboards that could be out...
Danny, been following the entries. I was hopeful more NAMBA guys from the West may be able to attend due to the location to help fill this IMPBA event. I hoped to come personally but the family conflicts during that time of year will keep us from attending. Fingers crossed that entries pick up...
Exactly Mike. I love the second part of Rods post but totally do not get his motives in the first part. Go back and read the first part. He says he wasnt talking about racers but after I pointed out exactly what he posted and my concern as to how he threw two manufacturers that are still...
Rod if you don’t want to eat what you sow then don’t make statements like that. This could’ve been a very positive and helpful thread about a new tunnel class but you totally ruined it with those comments.
Rod thanks for your feedback. You say your post wasn’t geared to the racer so lets go back and read the comment again right from your post that prompted my initial response above......

Great stuff Fred. We appreciate what you do as well in supplying us with great lowers and accessories, as well as this latest offering for potentially yet another tunnel class. Thank you.
Rod,
I respect you immensely, so since this is a food for thought conversation here is some more food for thought. I agree with everything you said from this sentence forward.
“I have been doing this for a long long time I have seen the RC nitro boating community dwindle for a long time...
David,
All Novas run the silicone ramp as it lightens the crank but still provides smooth fuel flow into the crank. Has worked well for many engine manufacturers including Nova for years!!! Since this is more of a general request, if you want to discuss further can you start another thread so we...
To follow-up on my posts above, the joint agreement between StumpFab and Novarossi Marine USA on this design concept and engineering change is an exclusive agreement covering all Novarossi products. We set it up this way to eliminate any confusion whatsoever and help me track the requested...

Thank you Carl!!! Nova now has a great “full line-up” of outboard engines to go along with their strong inboard engine group as well. Their commitment to our hobby is much appreciated.
Kris,
Yes, I tested both same day, same setup. Sometimes you cant understand why things work better or not, but results speak for themselves. Muffled pipe is what I have found runs the best on Nova 46, non-muffled on Nova 21 KEEP. Thanks.
