My short term experience... The answer is no. I did coat the outside of the box with epoxy, but that was more to make sure it's water tight. Long term is unknown. I have parts on my 40 hydro that regularly see raw fuel and I haven't see any issues yet. Fingers crossed.

PETG+ is what I used.

i didn’t weigh it, but I wouldn’t expect it to be that much different than a wood box…. If anything a little lighter. I did add some wood squares for additional taping surface area.

This was my most recent 3D printed project. Turned out pretty good and performed as designed over the weekend. No water intrusion at all. Even after being upside down a couple times!
