If the booms are not bent I would leave everything intact and go with it. Fill the cracked brass and paint with the sponsons for better looks. The sponsons are white polystyrene with large wood dowels to support the tubes. All is assembled with 5 min. epoxy. If you MUST remove the sponsons...

Brad, Note the position of the rear booms on Wayne two Avengers (close to rear of sponson). The "mystery" boat has a long distance from the boom to rear of sponson, which is late model Marty Davis Crapshooter or Gregg Hughey Crapshooter. Most likely they are Greg Hughey version Crapshooter...

Richie, With your ability, It would be easier to bore a MAC 67 case to accept the 84 sleeve. The 67 case is easy to come by. I have done this with good results.

Marty Davis is busy with the Nirto race in Florida, but if he sees this he can confirm the Crapshooter parts, as he was the Crapshooter manufacture during that era. Also, the large round aluminum booms tubes are from the .21 Crapshooter. I owned a 1981-1982 .21 and 45 Crapshooter at that time.

That is a 1980ish Crapshooter cowl.

I'd say scratch built tub with Crapshooter sponsons. The turnfin is .21 Mongoose (1986) as is the engine plate with the large offset. Engine is mounted level with an S-bend shaft. Same as was done in the .21 Mongoose. This boat was probably built around 1986-87. The exhaust system is the K&B...

Hi Mike, The bore is the same on the CMB 80 and the MAC 84. MAC has a longer stroke. Also a longer rod.
