    Boater's helping each other.

That’s right! Andy recently thought he set that record in 1994 and said Ft worth but I remember it was 1993 actually and that’s where the confusion came in. Thanks for clearing it up.

    Boater's helping each other.

I think it’s important to look in the past as well sometimes. It helps you remember setups and how we all got to certain speeds at that time and sometimes it slaps you back in reality and makes you realize your not thinking about important things. I’m well aware at the Nats the weather can vary...

    Boater's helping each other.

Hey Tim, Tyler won 1st at 2.84 secs 79.225 mph. Your time was 2.99 which is 75.250 mph. Just keeping it straight as it was a US1 event. The strut adjustment probably helped you but don’t give up on the 2519. It’s only 1/2” more pitch and with the low lifting characteristics of those props...

Parts Wanted Trade some Odonnell plugs

I’d like to trade 2 packs of standard Odonnell 289’s for 1 pack of 287 turbos and 1 pack of 289 turbos. Or I could trade them both for 287 turbos. Thanks Jeff Lutz

Who is selling CMB engines and parts?

Tim, the parts will interchange. As for the case the main difference is the air cooling on the lower chamber that you can see in photos. On the inside the exhaust port area is machined better. Jeff Lutz

    Picco Motor ID

It can be a .67 or a .80. But with that steel flywheel and carb combo it could be the original .65 as well. See if it is stamped on the side of the engine lug. If not post the bore and stroke. Jeff Lutz

2024 IMPBA Nitro Internats - Huntsville Alabama

Mark, on the entry it has A hydro and B hydro separately. But just curious, does the rule book allow this? Or is it clubs allowing it?

2024 IMPBA Nitro Internats - Huntsville Alabama

In IMPBA clubs have allowed it at times, but to my understanding at a National Event it should never happen. Engine displacement is carried out three places in the rule book. So A ends at .129 B starts at .130. etc etc . This was discussed about F hydro on this site before as it starts at .671...

    New Rossi Glow Plugs

Rick, nothing wrong with trying the r6 or new line of plugs, but without getting into mods for that engine you may want to change setup some. Tighten the head clearance and possibly shorten the pipe some richen the needle and run it again. Jeff

    Os 46 vx-m / .46 size head clearance

Yes that’s high. Especially considering how large the bowl is on the old OS .46. I’d machine it to .008” head clearance myself.

    Pace Makers

Doctor Beardslee, his question was to the point. He didn’t ask about welders? On another note, I think many peoples heart follows their throttle curve.

What is the right glow plug for your engine?

What you guys were running back then is not comparable to running a low mount of castor that has friction modifiers in it like todays. When I was a kid a lot of guys (even Don Pinckert) was running 20% oil with 10% being castor. Even that is too much oil and too much castor. If your mind Is...

What is the right glow plug for your engine?

All of John’s fuel has some castor so you can bet all of Truex records were set with it in it. I’m sure John led him in that direction long before his knowledge had him wanting to change those oils in different amounts .I still prefer a little castor myself. I’ve tested both and a little castor...
