    Wtb Bearing For Mac Motors

I should have looked up the eBay bearings noted before posting. Yes, they are listed as WIB bearings at $5.95 with 9.95 shipping / bearing. There is no description of retainer type or clearance. I guess it was too good to be true. LOL

    Wtb Bearing For Mac Motors

I'd be very interested for find the proper WIB's for $6 ea. I'm about to drop a special order to my distributor for 50 of one of the popular sizes, and my cost is going to be $20ea. Carl passed away several years ago. I still have some of his ring venturi carbs. Great top end power, but not very linear.

    Mono Skipping In The Turns

Let us know how it works. What is the height of the fin from tip to the hull bottom surface (perpendicular depth). The Mucks hulls are considered a medium V angle, and therein lies some of the problem. I'm curious as to your fin depth into the water when the hull rolls over onto the right side...

    Mono Skipping In The Turns

You are correct that the suction can be overcome with a larger turnfin. Even with the increased fin length, the rear can still blow out if the water surface conditions allow the fin to lose its anchor in the water. In my opinion it is better to reduce the suction at the front end of the hull and...

    Mono Skipping In The Turns

In reviewing the pics in your first post, it appears that your strips go too far to the rear. The strips are only applied to the bow curve area of the chine. Search for 'bernoulli scooter' and llok on page 4, post #48.

    Mono Skipping In The Turns

I just saw yourprvious post where you added the strip to the chine. Please post a pic of the bottom with the strip that you added. 3/16" is a little big, but should work.

    Mono Skipping In The Turns

The cause of the transom blow out is the chine at the bow. Add a piece of 1/8" bass wood stock to the outside of the right side chine from the bow to where the chines become parallel. The intent of the strip is to break the suction that pulls the bow down when the hull rolls over in the turn...

    Mono Skipping In The Turns

The cause of the problem on the Youngblood is not at the transom or keel. I the a solution (confirmed) for you if you want it. Jon

    Carbon and Fiber glass

It will not work well for compound curves. If you can make a mold of the compound surface, you can use the same process to make a pre curved skin. See my comments above on Crapshooter/UFO radio box lids and the SGX tub sides. It will work OK for a simple curve in 1 plane.

    IMPBA website

I think that Kevin corrected the issue before I finished typing above. Super service, thanks. Oh, and I was confused about my DD. The info that I thought had changed was indeed correct. My mistake. All is great. Thanks for all you do.

Motor bearings, prop nuts, pressure fittings, SS bolt sets

Sorry Ron, I did miss your note. I was offline for over a week. The connection on the cruise ship wasn't worth the cost, and I didn't trust the "free wifi" at the ports of call. I'll have to check my stock on the MAC45 bolts. I prefer to sell these as a set, not just the head bolts. I'm out of...

    Full complement ceramic bearings

In my experience, the most important thing is the fit. Also the flushing of the motor at the end of each run. I would be concerned with the ceramic races standing up to the hammering of our motors. The full ceramics work well in turbines and dental drills at 100,000 rpm. But again these are...

    Youngblood .21 mono setup help

Robin, do you have a pic of that mono. I bought some mold from Ed back in 88-89 and there were 2 different styles of 20 mono hulls in the lot. I was wondering which one had the issue you describe. Also, I tried to call you from your message on the Dock, but the number I have in my phone is...

    Full complement ceramic bearings

How heavy are YOUR balls????? Anyhow. It also matter which side of the full compliment bearing faces out on which end. Similar to an angular contact bearing. My thinking is full compliment on the rear (big end near the counterweight), and angular contact on the front. I just need a way to set...

    Youngblood .21 mono setup help

The cross wise rocker is less of a concern than the longitudinal. Across the hull rocker makes a compound Vee angle. This is not that unusual. Most huls do not have the longitudinal rocker. The Seaducer is the exception, they have the rocker by design, but also do not run tabs. My 44" 1.01...
