I use a X447 on mine. An outboard deep vee will not keep up or handle like an inboard. But it is a fun sport boat.

I do not think OS 46 or 65 VRM use a steel sleeve. Early OS used nickel plated brass sleeve (ABN). The outside of the sleeve was plated unlike a typical ABC sleeve.. I have never seen an aluminum piston running in a steel sleeve unless it is a ringed piston.

Going a little off topic here... but the picture showed that the cable does not shrink in length under load. I leave a 1/16" gap in the cable. Most would consider that gap to be too small. But the thrust washer has no wear mark indicating the does not shrink under load. kez

Not sure if it is still available but years ago Bob Violett Models offered a pinhole filler. You apply it and then wipe it off with a paper towel when dried. It worked well filling pinholes in epoxy glass parts.

I just looked it up. Picco .40 has a bore of 20mm. That's 0.787". I think your smaller p/l are indeed for a .40

I can see the difference just from the picture. I am now wondering if the smaller p/l is for a .40. I believe Picco released a .40 aero version at the time.
