When your testing bring some different props, rudders of different length, taper and straight and lead weights.
You can put lead weights inside of the pool noodles and experiment with c/g changes.
Be patient and the rewards are worth it

I was able to get my R42 out for the first time Wednesday. Still have more engine tuning to do. I can already tell I'm going to like the hull very much.
Jeff, still wondering about your set up. Have you had a chance to run it?

Yes I'm running the bh Hanson 2.plus2 motor with the 300R three blade strut pretty high with a little weight in the nose fun boat to run I still have a little tweaking to do but the water is hard here now till April

I finally got my f41 running good the motor didn’t like the zipkitts pipe went back to gizmo pipe I had to prop down finally settled on a 2514/3 chopper if I set the pipe short it will go over 70 mph but looses torque on corners I set the pipe for good torque going tru corners running 67 mph I need to check to head clearance motor is stock.I forgot how much clearance when I first got it need to recheck it.

Built a seaducer gas cat this year
Built it just like Jerry's setup
Was a little bow heavy in my opinion
Moved the motor back a little and oh boy this thing is fast
Finished it late in the season so didn't get to run it in competition but it looks promising
29.5 big block zenoah, Bob Austin prop, quick draw hot pipe
