2 stroke oil amsoil dominator or redline racing oil?

Lot of good information here on this chat. What's a man to do with all these decisions. I used dominator All the way I have not had any problems but who's to say. It's all good information take your pic you can use regular oil to start out with it won't take long to break it in just go out in your garage run it for a little bit shutter down let it cool start it up again let it cool and continue until you run a half a gallon through it and be happy
 
Should I just do synthetic blend first gallon then go to full synthetic ?
"Break- In Oil Fully synthetic oil can be used for break in purposes. However, due to the ring and cylinder hardness, these oils will take much longer to properly break in the motor. It is recommended to break in the motor using quality petroleum based or mineral based oil. The recommended break-in oil is Lawn Boy Ashless mixed at 28.5:1 ratio. This will be 4.5 ounces per gallon. The break in period on this oil will be for approximately one gallon. Many oils are not compatible with one another. The Lawn Boy Ashless oil seems to work very well when followed by running most all synthetics afterward for normal operation."
 
10 ounces of Redline 2T to 1 gallon of ethanol free gasoline, engines are beautiful inside after many hours & no catastrophic failures for me to date.

iPhone users can download the app called Pure Gas to locate ethanol free fuel in the area you are in.

I used 9 oz of Dominator to a gallon of rec fuel in all my gas engines because that is what my original engine builder told me to use. With that, I was always getting this oily "splooge" all around the carb area inside and outside of the hull and cowl after every run.

I talked to Roger Pane about this and he told me to use Klotz Super Techniplate synthetic at 10 oz per gallon and that the castor oil in it is the advantage to using that oil.

After switching, I have never seen that oily "splooge" again.

I run both but switch back to klotz Been using it since 1978 in my dirt bikes to lawn equipment had good luck with klotz I use it it from day one in all my gas engines in my boats I did take one motor out lost water this year the ring stuck crank and bearings were still useable my old homelite gas trimmer going on 20 years with no maintance still starts every time always uses klotz the carb hasn’t even been apart
 
what exactly are these oil brands made of that makes them different? instead of talking our favorite brands lets dig into the actual chemical and molecular differences.

also how is everyone running through 5 gallons of gas? I burned 2 gallons in 2024 between 4 boats. It takes me about 150 laps to burn a single gallon.

Redline oil only for me all i rain my DA 50cc and DA 100cc aircraft.


the reason the piston is carboned is likely because he was likely running Motul 800 which has double the flash point temp over redline. The engine was never getting hot enough to burn off the oil. He could have also ran too much oil given that it has so much more heat tolerance.

It was Amsoil I saw a lot of their testing back in the 90s and people i flew with.
