I have not been on this site or used a R/C boat for 10 years. I have a surplus of parts and a few boats to sell. And who knows- maybe chat with Andy and Rick to see if they got out of Dodge before the hurricane(s) hit.

Andy moved inland just a bit to ride out the storm..
Rick stayed home in Jacksonville for the hurricane festivities..
We made out fine.
Haven't heard back from Andy.
I was going through my engine cabinet and still have a 67 box with your name on it.
It made me wonder what you were up to and how you were.
Tell us some good stuff Glenn.

Glad you guys are safe, Milton looked like a BEAST after it formed in the gulf.
If the green head has a #1. #2 or #3 etched on the motor mount pads it was a Steve Wood motor ported for 1/8 scale use. I still have 1 .67 HR NIB as it came from Stu Barr.

Good to hear from you Glenn tell us what you have. I remember getting venturis from you for os9bs
MIKEY!!! Thank' you for dropping by!
I have not even checked thru all my stuff yet. I'm working with a new computer and my first smart phone and have the geek squad coming over tomorrow with a new monitor and camera
I'll look for venturi's . If I have none I will have to borrow a sample to make more. if I am still able.

Do you have a spare or could you make a dimensioned drawing?

Glenn,
I have 2 that are slightly different from each other.
If you are looking to make them again I'd be happy to send these out to you to be able to copy them.
And if you are going to make some, I'd ask that you make some for a stock CMB 67 carb. I could supply you one of those also to create for it.
Let me know Glenn.
Rick

I think I got the sizes for the venturis from Don. As I recall the O.D. of the bell was around 1.8X the bore size.
With my sight fading fast It would be VERY time consuming to make more.
If there is anyone with a nice tool room lathe(with collets) perhaps they can get with Don and crank a few out.
Rick and Mikey, The ones I sent you were made to Don's sizes so would be a good sample. On the last ones I built I left a raised band where the set screw is to get more thread engagement.

Hey Rick,
I still have a .67 greenie from 10 years ago and they have a bell built in and the outside is tapered as well so any adaptor would be a very sloppy fit.. The bore is around .457 inch and the bell O.D. is about .75 inch.
I discussed carbs with Steve Wood and he told me the newer CMB .67Hr carbs were as good as the 9B(and that was 10 years ago).
I found one old one(for the 9B)- might be the first practice part. I made it from nylon. The O.D. is around .62 Dia. with a full radius on the inside. This one only adds .25iinch to the length. Perfect if you do not have room for the longer full bell. I'll send it. I do not know if thread locker works on nylon so consider it a pattern for a aluminum part. If that set screw ends up in the carb you will be out a $600 motor. PM your address if you have a use for it.

P.S. I did find one of Dons fine O.S. needle bases it is a B model and a 9B needle NIP
Thanks.
Glenn
