Got the hardware back on the boat, i ned to find a lot of wierd length m4 screws but thats not a problem. I was even able to reuse the original flexshaft.
I like this layout with the batterys on the sides, gives lots of adjustability.
I got my go to servo for this, its cheap, fast and strong

That is a good looking rigger,
Your own design??
yes it is, i never got to share it cause my plan needs to be gone over and corrected, i always make changes in my head and not transfer them to the plan, but this is dialed in well. im and old NAMBA member was #62, then #662 but don't know what number now, just an old boater since 1962 when nothing was available. hah just havin fun now

I fitted the original servo mount but it didnt fit with the pushrod, so i changed to a tfl mount and added some carbon bracing. The damage to the bottom has been filled and is ready for sanding

Progress has been slow lately, waiting for the carbon plates to show up. I got them cut and the support pieces glued on, ready for installation. The motor mount got epoxied in it will get some more reinforcement laid in shortly

Motormounts, esc mount and battery plates and straps got glued in. IMG20240813170933.jpg
The outside damage i spacked and just sanded till smooth IMG20240813203711.jpg
I added alot of foam to the front and loaded the boat up for a maiden run IMG20240813170926.jpg

And it was going well, working up on the throttle getting more comfortable. Was running a abc 2415-17-45
But it was getting way too loose -
like most good testing days it ended with a boat upside down - but my girlfriend was quick on the paddleboard to go get it
IMG20240813181616.jpg
The reason for the flip was pretty clear when the boat came back.

The strut angle screws where all loose making the it selfadjusting... 🤔
Data logs show i only hit 60% throttle at most and 4000w

The next steps are
Find solution for the strut getting loose
Gps speed testing
Test props and turnfins to get stable cornering at 65mph

Changes made:
Swapped the speedmaster rudder blade to a MTC germany blade, its got better big dualsided waterpickups and a bigger blade arear.
IMG20240815191518.jpg
Moved the batterys forward to get a 28% CG.
Swapped to a 2115-17-45 to slow the boat down to focus on corner speed over topspeed.
Ive tested 3 diffrent turnfins so far it runs the best with the sqare fin IMG20240831085715.jpg

Ive run 3 packs thru the boat so far and the turning is solid now, but in testing topspeed it will backflip at about 95% throttle... - that needs work.

The radio setup got an upgrade i added the dual antenna mod to the flysky fgr4 v2 it gives a far better range than normal. IMG20240823152751.jpg

Overall the powersystem of the boat is super solid the small prop is really only pulling about 200A at peak but thats probaby because the boat is fully out of the water about to backflip😅😁

Do you think moving the weight more forward to like 30 to 33 % would make it ride better with out flipping over that’s where most of my gas monos are

Thats what i plan to try if it dosent like the the stinger neutral, its currently a little bit up but i will try to move the cg if that dosent work

I ran 5 packs thru the boat yesturday, its running well, its not trying to fly at full power and the turning is very predictable. I cant get the boat to carve really well in the turns it feels like the hull is just at its limit, but the turnfins keep it hooked. Data logs show about 200A on the abc 2115-17-45. I cant wait to run some big props and do a few saw passes😁

The danish championship was this weekend, and i came away with a 5th place in the mono class😁 while laptimes arent compareable year to year but i improved my best time from last year by more than 10 seconds to a time of 56.322
The boat setup improved over the day, the most important change was getting the boat to run really wet and hooking in the corners
data logs show more speed is available and i need more time racing to get perfect laps
