I have run Turnigy 4S 5000 mAh Nano Tech 70C LiPo's for years in my FE hydros but they are getting harder to find and are back ordered until end-October.

Can anyone recommend a good high C alternative?
 
Rattlesnake RC at allrc1.com is now offering Zeee 6000mah 4S 100C soft packs. $84.95 each on sale now at $82.95. I chose to cycle a set a couple times and then ran them in 6 straight rounds of 1/8 Scale at the past weekends RCU Gold Cup. I won the Final.
 
I know you are not doing SAW runs, but thought you might like to see some back to back comparisons from my Mono hull boat.
All I did was swap LiPos and cool down the motor between runs. These are 3s/6s setups but they offer the same brands in 4s.

- GensAce is very similar to Zeee as a cheap option. (you get what you pay for)
- CNHL G+ 70c is the highest output lipo from CNHL (ignore what they say about c-ratings)
CNHL is budget friendly and if not being pushed to 400+ amps would probably be a great option for most people.
- ONYX is top tier right on par with SMC from all the data I have seen.

Watch the video as it has good lipo info. Takes a few minutes.
I have liked Roaring Top 70c and a lot of records are set with them

so much info in this.. the test team and the marketing teams at Hobbico, needless to say.. did not see eye to eye on this subject. marketing was going to do ANTHING to try to get there batterys "noticed".

It really was a joke.. we would PROVE TIME AND TIME AGAIN.. we could not find a battery capable of over 30C and it did not matter.. (our test equipment, we used LabVIEW).

I fly "some" electric scale helicopters.. but keep my electric "toys" to a minimum.

I do however have my prized "P Raptor" in my office here at work.. the boat will likely never see water again (not by me).. but thats OK..

Joerg and I have both done similar testing and come up with test bench's to characterize cells. Both of us are pushing north of 500A for competitive SAW runs and given how precious good water is you better not test batteries on the lake if you can test ahead of time on a bench. We have logged IR's relative to cell temp and found significant gains before the mechanical construction of the cell's started limiting the output.
